AI Fashion Photography Platform · Solo founder & engineer · 2025–present
The problem. A single fashion lookbook shoot means studio rental, a photographer, a model, styling, and two to three weeks of turnaround — a cost structure that locks out the small D2C and apparel brands who need fresh creative the most.
The product. Shootgraphy turns a flat garment photo into a finished campaign asset. Upload a product, select an AI model from a curated library spanning body types, ethnicities, and poses, choose a scene, and receive editorial-quality on-model photography in under two minutes. The platform also covers AI product studio photography, custom AI model creation, batch generation for full catalogs, and image-to-video conversion for ad creative.
Engineering. Built and shipped entirely solo across two services
Frontend — Express + EJS server-rendered app with a hand-built editorial design system: masonry gallery with lightbox, before/after comparison sliders, auto-scrolling video showcase, and a full marketing surface (landing, pricing, blog, category pages) tuned for SEO and Core Web Vitals.
Backend — Express API on Prisma/MySQL with JWT and Google OAuth, Redis-backed rate limiting, and a BullMQ worker pipeline that dispatches generation jobs to the Fashn.ai and Gemini APIs asynchronously so the UI never blocks on multi-minute inference.
Media — Sharp-based processing to WebP, stored in Backblaze B2 behind a custom CDN domain for fast global delivery of a high-volume image catalog.
Commerce — Credit-based Razorpay billing with webhook reconciliation, transactional email via Resend/Nodemailer, and an internal admin console for model library, gallery curation, and user management.
